Now what?

Good news! I just found out I was accepted to graduate school. Bad news, grad school starts May 17 is a three semester, consecutive course. I would have to take summer, fall, spring semesters  consecutively with no room between them. This would be near impossible since we are expecting the baby in October. Therefore I have decided to defer for one year. With this plan, the baby will be approximately 7-8 months old by the time I start grad school. I feel okay with this, even though daycare can be expensive and is not my first choice. However, at this point the LO will be on solid foods, and I should be able to pump the few times a day the baby would nurse. Also, Geoff should be in the process of finishing up school at that point, which is great for us! We need to take the time to sit down and see when exactly he can finish his degree, he is close at this point but the classes he has left are only offered at specific times during specific semesters. I am hoping and praying when we get a second to look at it we realize he only has one year left. That would be awesome! Even if it is a really full semester, the concern then is, of course, money but maybe I could pick up a job working overnights somewhere. It would make for a really difficult year juggling the baby, bills and Geoff in school, but the pay off would be excellent. Geoff would be done with his B.S. (haha BS) and then he could get a job in engineering and I could go to grad school in May 2011!!

I guess we will see how things go, I will keep you posted. I feel awesome about my prospects, and excited about the baby. Oh-and just because  few people have asked, grad school  is a Masters of Arts in Teaching Elementary Education and  my teaching license, again in Elementary Ed. So the first year, the 3 consecutive semesters is for the teaching license, the second year I can do online after I have my license and start teaching right away. Its a great program.
well thats all for now folks-hope you are all doing well!
